Registration instructions

Please note that the registration fee is slightly higher for this event than for regular points events due to the special format and the entry cap. Thank you for understanding. This is event is not recommended if you have never participated in an SCCA Autocross event before.

Registering for this event is a little different than for regular points events.  There are only two choices for "class", and all drivers must also select a "modifier" for the PAX index.

Class Selection

Choose "Pro" if either driver in your team regularly competes in the "Pro" class at ATL SCCA Solo points events.
Choose "Open" if both drivers in your team regularly compete in Open, Rookie, or Novice.
Drivers who select "single" during registration should select "Pro" or "Open" based on their own driving history.

Event format

The event as a whole is a co-driving/team event based completely on PAX, although we are allowing single drivers to participate. There are three ways to be a team:  First, you can be two drivers sharing the same car. Second, you can be two drivers who have swapped cars. These two options will, undoubtedly, be the most fun. The third way is to be two drivers but with each driver driving their own car.  This won't be quite as much fun, but definitely still fun.

Selecting your co-driver

Choose "My co-driver has already registered" if they have already signed up and pick their name from the drop down list.
Choose "I have a teammate" if you are the first of your team to sign up. Please enter the name of your teammate in the empty field.
Choose "I'm single" if you do not have a teammate. One will be picked at random for you or you can edit your registration before the event closes. Please visit our Atlanta Region SCCA Facebook page as we have a thread for single drivers. Note that you can drive your own car, their car, or each of you drive your own.

The Fine Print

  1. There are only two classes: "Pro" and "Open". Pro is for those who want to compete against the best of the best.  Open is for those who feel that they aren't quite there yet.
  2. Each driver must register.
  3. Everyone must choose a modifier. You will not be able to complete your registration if you don't.
  4. Everyone must also state who your co-driver/teammate is.  You will not be able to complete your registration if you don't.  Type "none" if you are a single driver and need a co-driver assigned to you.
  5. Everyone gets three runs in the morning and three runs in the afternoon.  That's still six runs total, just like our normal events.  The afternoon course will be the morning course but run the opposite direction. You will get a chance to walk the afternoon course.
  6. Scoring is based on the best run of each co-driver in the morning combined with the best run of each codriver in the afternoon. Example:  John and Sally are on a team.  John's best run in the morning is a 45.5 and Sally's best run is a 48.2.  John's best run in the afternoon is a 50.1, and Sally's is a 49.3. We add 45.5, 48.2, 50.1, and 49.3, for a total of 193.10 seconds. This is the team's score for the day and will be used to compare with other teams.
  7. Trophies will be awarded on-site for the top three teams in each of the two classes.  Each team member will receive a trophy.
  8. Everyone is required to have fun!
